  • Hacienda Becerra - TROTR 
    • The Davis Rodeo Club is looking for members to volunteer their time at Hacienda Becerra, located on County Road 102 just North of Davis.  They are a small, start-up non-profit, dedicated to assisting horses learn new careers and find loving homes.  They began this about 2 years ago with the purchase of a small ranch in Woodland, CA.  They started with PMU rescue and have many draft horses who still live there .  With the help of some wonderful people, they were introduced to the Standardbred breed.  You can see their website at http://www.trotr.org/.   • Grace Foundation
    • The Davis Rodeo Club collected $5 fees for its Cutting and Roping Clinics to fundraise for the Grace Foundation of Northern California.  They were able to make a donation of $65 to the Foundation at the end of Winter Quarter.  For more information, visit the Grace Foundation 's website at http://www.thegracefoundationofnorcal.org/.
  • Dixon Cooperative Nursery School
    • On May 1st, members of the Davis Rodeo Club paid a visit to students at the Dixon Cooperative Nursey School.  Members Joe Knowles and Spenser Perloff put on a roping demonstration and taught students how to rope.  Christine Haas brought her gelding Reeces Rusty Piece to teach students about horses and give them horseback rides.
